The school is primarily funded by Commonwealth and State school grants. The value of the grants is determined at an annual census in August. Because of the nature of the school, there is a higher Staff to Student ratio than would be found in a mainstream school.
This results in a relatively low level of funding through the Govt. grant system.
The salary costs of the school consumes around 90% of the Govt. per capita funding.
This leaves the school with very little for administration, school maintenance and resources.
To fill the gap in funding, the school actively seeks funding from NGO sources for the welfare service work it provides ( see: Keyworker Project).
